Learning Support
Dolphin School is committed to delivering an inclusive education in which all children are provided with the best opportunity to reach their full potential, to have a voice in their education, and who become independent and life-long learners.
The Learning Support Team brings a wealth of experienced and highly qualified teachers with specialisms in Special Educational Needs, who share a passion for enabling children to overcome individual difficulties. With the recognition that some children may require additional or adapted provision to minimise barriers to learning and maximise progress, the LST works collaboratively with the wider teaching community to integrate strategies as part of children’s tailored learning experience.
Timetabled one-to-one or small group sessions are provided by specialists where it is deemed beneficial for children to receive these tailored lessons. These are at an additional cost, and are based in the dedicated Learning Support Department, ‘The Cottage’, a spacious and calming environment, ideal for children with additional needs to learn and build confidence with their abilities.
