Global Citizenship
I am often asked what can people do to become a good global citizen? I reply that it begins in your own community.
KoFi Annan
Our focus in Global Citizenship is to examine a wide range of topics that require us to consider today’s world and our responsibilities as global citizens. Consequently we have explored topics as various and relevant as the global impact of our food choices, how to address climate change and energy needs as well as a study of different types of governance. As a class we read and analyse selected articles from The Week; this not only improves general knowledge of world issues but provokes many interesting debates.
