Library Blog - Children’s Book Award Votes Spring 2020

Our Dolphin children, from ‘pre-schoolers’ to teenagers and supported by family members and teaching staff, had great fun voting for their favourite Picture Books for this year’s CHILDREN’S BOOK AWARD!  Almost all the votes are now in and we will be sending them to the Federation of Children’s Book Group to be counted.  We look forward to seeing if our favourites are amongst the winners later in the year!

Thank you to all the Dolphin community who participated in this scheme.  Being a part of this Award  gives the children a chance to ‘read and select’ new publications for our own Library and empowers them to know that their vote counts!  As far as we know, this is the only Children’s Book Award voted solely by children.   I would strongly encourage other schools and communities to get involved with the Children's book awards 2020    : http://fcbg.org.uk/
