Final show of 2019 for Wokingham Horticultural Association
BackSaturday saw the final show of 2019 for Wokingham Horticultural Association at the St Paul’s Church Rooms in Wokingham.
We entered a number of classes as usual including the Young Exhibitor’s heaviest pumpkin which we won with our 23kg specimen. There were prizes too in the Christmas card and Christmas parcel categories for Year 4 and for the second year in a row Jessica won the best decoration made from a pine cone, although this year she had to share it with her brother Matthew.
The ever popular colouring class saw lots of prizes for the Lower School too. Staff were well represented too with Paul Martin coming second for his fruit cake in the Gentlemen only class and Madame Moore’s interpretation of a Christmas carol in flowers winning the novice class. Best of all, Gardening Club won the cup for the most points in the junior classes across all four shows in 2019 which was presented by the Mayor.
