Y8 Waltham Place

Y8s visited Waltham place which is a biodynamic and organic farm.

We toured around visiting the rare breeds they have on site as well as studying the Kitchen Garden and the natural cycles they aim to follow.

The trip cements the students knowledge of the lifecycle of plants as well as seeing a variety of different seed dispersal methods and how they can be farmed. Being able to see how different environmental factors farmers have to consider was eye-opening and really brought the topic to life and made the students think deeply about the produce they consume.
