Annie wows the audience at Henley Manor - April 2023

This afternoon a group of talented 9 and 10 year olds performed five numbers from the popular musical Annie at Henley Manor Care Home.  They sang and danced beautifully, in spite of not having a large stage, and the elderly residents were so impressed that an encore was demanded! After their performance the actors handed round home made Annie themed cakes and biscuits to the audience and chatted together about their long and short lives.  Such experiences encourage our students to be bold and experimental, inviting them to push beyond the boundaries of their previous experience of performing; they develop new skills and a new understanding of the world around them.  And the elderly residents delight in the opportunity to form new connections with extraordinary young people.
