Y5 Brecon Beacons Walking Trip 2019

Back

The Year Five trip to the Brecon Beacons marks the first of the residential hill walking excursions, aiming to foster the children's enjoyment of the outdoors. There are opportunities for map reading, teamwork, paddling in the lakes, and tower building. The four days include walks up Pen-y-Bryn, Bannau Sir Gaer, and Pen-y-Fan (the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons). The trip concludes with the beautiful Ystradfellte Waterfall walk, where the children have the opportunity to walk behind a waterfall. We hope the children return home with a great sense of accomplishment, achievement, and personal satisfaction, having explored and appreciated the landscape around them.
